We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our Oxford team.
This is a Fixed-Term position working 16 hours per week from 09:00-13:00 Monday to Thursday. The salary is £13.16 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Cleaning designated areas for our student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and all white goods contained in the kitchens.
* Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors and clean stairs.
* Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators and lampshades as appropriate.
* Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
* During the summer season only: make beds, including stripping and changing sheeting; collection of laundered linen from store; bag and pack laundry for collection.
* Clean internal and external windows, where applicable.
* Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils, as appropriate.
* Daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff.
* Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
You will need to have experience cleaning in a similar environment and possess strong communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail and the passion to do an excellent job. A good conversational standard of English and ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance are required. You should be prepared to work at other sites with notice and to take on additional hours when needed, especially during main student arrival and departure weekends.
