Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity in Greenwich, for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The London Borough of Greenwich offers a full time contract with a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist includes;
* Undertake casework (allocated by Prison Social Care Management) focusing on promoting independence, wellbeing and preventative strategies
* Case work, discuss any casework which is or becomes complex, i.e. Moving and Handling needs
* Ensure all case work / recording is completed in a timely manner within the target frameworks
* Attend Prison Social Care & Commissioning Meetings / training and supervisory discussions as required / case conferences, contract and operational meetings; safer custody and safeguarding meetings
To Be Successful;
* Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in Social Care
* Have a valid Counter Terrorism Clearance by the Ministry of Justice
* Manual handling experience
* HCPC Registration
* Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Occupational Therapist Qualification
