Job Purpose
The Brand Manager will play a fundamental role in leading efforts to revitalise the STANLEY brand across hand tools, power tools, and outdoor categories, while also supporting the IRWIN and FACOM brands in the UK market. The objective is to create a strong connection between our products and end users through impactful brand communication. The successful candidate will build brand loyalty and consistency, driving market share growth and ensuring continued purchase and use of our products. Strategic and operational responsibility for brand communication across multiple product groups is essential, with a focus on positive development of annual turnover and overall profitability. A hands-on mentality and a keen eye for detail are a must.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic and operational management of the STANLEY, IRWIN and FACOM brands in the UK
2. Lead initiatives to revitalise the STANLEY brand, enhancing image and increasing awareness across hand tools, power tools, and outdoor categories
3. Develop and execute regional brand communication plans and strategy for both brands
4. Align with central EANZ brand team on strategic brand execution
5. Participate in regional and international product launches and training events for STANLEY, IRWIN and FACOM
6. Develop and maintain branded communication channels (e.g., brand-specific print and digital content for websites, campaign materials, customer POS)
7. Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to drive demand and MEU acquisition through a content-rich digital ecosystem: email, web, social, etc.
8. Participate in budget planning, strategic plans, investment plans, and promotional budget compliance
9. Challenge and contribute to the marketing plan, its preparation, and execution
10. Support customer-specific product promotions for STANLEY, IRWIN and FACOM
11. Ensure all commercialisation and brand materials, including presentations and relevant products, are presented optimally to sales teams and customers
12. Maintain close relationships with sales teams to align brand and commercial objectives
13. Drive POS and print optimisations for both brands
Accountability
14. Ownership of the STANLEY, IRWIN and FACOM brands, ensuring compliance with global brand direction
15. Ensure alignment to commercial plans and brand priorities
16. Facilitate optimal internal communication about current brand activities
17. Achieve targets defined in the operating plan and drive growth plans for both brands
18. Identify and develop brand campaign opportunities aligned to strategic goals
Skills & Competencies
19. Minimum 3 years’ brand experience
20. Education: Business or Marketing degree at Bachelor, Master, or MBA level preferred
21. Full UK driving license preferred
22. Experience with B2C marketing
23. Commercial awareness—understanding of the dynamics of the tools market, the impact of decisions, and the needs of key retailers and end users
24. Excellent & adaptable communication skills—proactively communicating at all levels internally and externally
25. Analytical skills—able to adapt and solve problems by making decisions that are sensible given the available information
26. Financial understanding—to comprehend necessary financial areas both internal and external and use these skills to drive sales for the business
27. Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment
28. Resilience to handle feedback and challenging timeframes/delivery
29. Agility to change plans based on adapting focus areas
