Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate agency Support Worker to provide high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities in their homes and within the local community, promoting independence, dignity, and choice, and making a positive impact on people’s lives, utilising a person-centred approach to care and support, focusing on social care, healthcare, and community engagement, and delivering tailored support services to enhance the wellbeing of service users.
Key Responsibilities
5. Providing personalised, practical, and emotional support to service users in their own homes, enabling them to live fulfilling lives, and assisting with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and medication management
6. Promoting social inclusion and community engagement, and supporting individuals to access local community activities, events, and services, to enhance their overall wellbeing and quality of life
7. Utilising a flexible and adaptable approach to care and support, and working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality support services
Required Skills & Experience
8. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (preferable, but not essential)
9. Experience administering medication
10. 6 months of UK experience in care or supporting individuals with learning disabilities
11. A compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality
12. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and committed approach to providing high-quality care and support
