We are looking for individuals who share our values of Together, Safe, Kind and Excellent and are interested in working as a Healthcare Support Worker in one of our adult wards. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and includes long days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Support to serve meals to patients.
* Provide personal care to patients.
* Take observations such as blood pressure, pulse, urinalysis and temperature.
* Assist patients with moving in their clinical area.
* Perform other clinical duties as required.
Recruitment & Development
Applicants will be recruited at Band 2 if they have not completed the CUH HCSW induction, which includes the Care Certificate and competencies. Once the induction is completed, the candidate will move to Band 3. If you are already a support worker with these qualifications, recruitment will be at Band 3.
All selected candidates must take a Functional Skills Test as part of the interview assessment and must pass it to receive a conditional offer.
CUH offers a comprehensive four‑week induction programme, access to the National Care Certificate, skills development and training in English, maths and ESOL.
Working Conditions
