Class 2 Service Technician
As a key worker in our Healthcare Division, you play a vital role in the success of phs. To our customers, you are the face of the company. Your excellent customer service skills will help keep our customers satisfied and loyal.
As an experienced Class 2 Service Technician in our Healthcare division, your responsibilities will include collecting health-related waste products, including Pharmaceutical, Non-hazardous, Hazardous, and clinical waste.
A day in the life of a Service Technician at phs will involve:
1. Following planned routes using PDA devices to confirm collections and manage site access issues. Familiarity with in-cab technology, satellite navigation devices, and smartphones is required.
2. Using Soft Compaction Vehicles, similar to refuge collection vehicles, designed specifically for our services.
3. Emptying and collecting Euro Bins containing offensive waste.
4. Supporting Covid testing stations by collecting sealed waste.
5. Completing hazardous consignment notes and transfer notes.
6. Returning daily to your designated depot to unload collected waste.
The ideal candidate for a Service Technician role at phs will:
1. Prioritize safety and legal compliance, with a good safety record.
2. Hold a Category C (LGV Class 2) license, current Driver CPC card, and a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
3. Have held a full driving license for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 penalty points and no IN or DD endorsements within the last five years.
4. Be open-minded about the types of waste products carried.
5. Be vaccinated against Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Polio; Hepatitis A vaccination is also recommended. phs covers employee vaccinations.
In exchange for your commitment and expertise, you will receive:
1. A salary of £37,000 based on a 40-hour week (Monday to Friday).
