We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced planning professionalto lead a pivotal function within the University of Plymouth’sStrategy, Planning and Analytics Service. About the Role
As Head of Planning & Analytics, you’llplay a central role in shaping the University’s planningprocesses and data strategy. You’ll lead the development of ahigh-performing planning partner service, ensuring that strategicdecisions are underpinned by robust evidence and actionableinsights.
You’ll also:
* Coach and develop a skilled team todeliver high-quality analysis and performance insights.
* Lead the implementation of theUniversity’s Data Strategy, working with stakeholders to expandour data capabilities.
* Champion data governance and thecreation of intuitive, user-friendly dashboards andreports.
* Build strong, collaborativerelationships across the University to ensure planning isaligned with institutional goals.

What We’re Looking For
We’reseeking someone with:
* EducationalBackground: Degree-level education or equivalentexperience.
* StrategicPlanning Expertise: Extensive experience in strategicplanning within complex organisations, ideally in HigherEducation.
* Analyticaland Data Skills: Proven ability to deliverhigh-quality data analysis and insights using diverse datasets(student, research, finance, staff), with experience indesigning accessible dashboards and performance frameworks(KPIs, OKRs).
* Influencingand Communication: Strong influencing and negotiationskills, with the ability to communicate complex data in clear,non-technical language to senior stakeholders.
* Leadershipand Team Development: Demonstrated success in buildingand leading high-performing teams, including coaching andmentoring.
