JOB DESCRIPTION:
Electrician required for a leading Facilities Management company to carry out planned, reactive and preventative maintenance on a large commercial building in Lerwick, Shetland. Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Electrician to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This role will be working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (38.75 hours per week), with participation in an on-call rota.
Daily responsibilities will include:
1. Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
2. Electrical testing, inspections and fault finding
3. Completing NICEIC documentation and reports
4. Working safely in line with health & safety regulations
5. Using PDA/tablet systems to manage workloads
6. Supporting permit-to-work systems and site compliance
7. Assisting wider FM teams when required
8. Maintaining plant, equipment and building services
Requirements for the role:
9. City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition
10. Experience working within Facilities Management or critical environments
11. Knowledge of EMS and BMS systems
12. Experience carrying out electrical testing and certification
13. Strong health & safety awareness
14. Good IT skills
