Do you have a passion for languages and helping students see the world through new eyes? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and engaging MFL Teacher to join our team on a supply basis, supporting secondary schools across Shropshire and Wrexham.
You’ll play a key role in developing students’ confidence in speaking, reading, and writing in languages such as French, Spanish, or German, while inspiring a lifelong appreciation for global communication and culture.
Job Specification
The main languages taught by Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teachers include French, German, and Spanish. Other languages taught include Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Urdu and Bengali. There’s a shortage of teachers available in these priority subjects and a high demand for high-calibre talent to take on the challenge.

As a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher you’ll be expected to:
 1. Hold QTS status
 2. Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
 3. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
 4. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
 5. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
 6. Maintain discipline
 7. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
 8. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
 9. Staying up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
 10. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
 11. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
