We’re recruiting an Environmental Manager to join our Milton Keynes team.
This role involves supporting the Route Wide Environment team with the coordination of environmental deliverables such as ground and surface water resources, ecology, noise, and vibration. You will interface with the design team and manage water management and borehole I&M contractors, overseeing deliverables and environmental management plans. You will work closely with the wider environment team to track delivery progress, report, and coordinate in line with client standards.
You will ensure consistency across all sections of the route, support engagement with local authorities and stakeholders, and help maintain programs for compliance with legislation and industry standards. Additionally, you will assist with implementing BS EN ISO14001 certification, collaborating with various teams to ensure project delivery is fit for purpose and on schedule.
Part of your role will be to promote good environmental and sustainability practices, share best practices, and facilitate subcontractor meetings.
About You
* Extensive experience in civil, structural, ecological, environmental, or landscape construction activities.
* Membership of a relevant professional body.
* Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies.
* Ability to interpret complex project documentation and resolve clashes.
* Proficiency in GIS and IT skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
* Experience with NEC contracts and driving system improvements.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop networks.
* Full UK driving license is required.
