A client of ours in the Witham area are recruiting a Transport Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm and paying £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties
* Managing transport operations to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery performance
* Planning and coordinating haulage movements across multiple sites
* Monitoring and live tracking of fleet activity, proactively resolving transport issues and delays
* Liaising with customers, suppliers, hauliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
* Managing stock transfers, sales order movements and third-party logistics activities
* Maintaining and updating logistics planning schedules and transport records
Skills and Experience required
* Previous experience within transport planning, logistics or fleet coordination
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Logistics distribution and supply chain experience
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
* SAP experience would be advantageous
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
