We are seeking an Operational Supply Chain Lead to take day-to-day ownership of our subcontractor supply chain supporting void and planned works delivery. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on ensuring the right subcontractors are in place, compliant, available, and performing so works can be delivered efficiently and without delay. This position suits someone who enjoys being close to the detail, taking responsibility, and actively managing subcontractors rather than overseeing from a distance. The Role The purpose of this role is to maintain a robust, reliable, and compliant subcontractor workforce to support operational delivery. You will be the single point of coordination for subcontractor supply, working closely with operational teams to align labour availability with workload demand across void and planned works programmes. This is not a strategic or team-led role it is operationally focused, requiring consistent involvement in recruitment, onboarding, coordination, and performance management. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day ownership of the subcontractor supply chain for voids and planned works Recruiting, vetting, onboarding, and mobilising subcontractors across required trades Maintaining regular contact with subcontractors regarding availability, performance, and workload Ensuring adequate subcontractor capacity is in place to meet operational demand Managing subcontractor compliance including insurance, accreditation, and H&S documentation Monitoring performance, quality, attendance, and reliability Agreeing rates, allocating work packages, and coordinating start dates Maintaining accurate supply chain records and system updates Identifying delivery risks and escalating issues where required Working closely with operational teams to respond to changing priorities and workloads This role requires direct involvement in administration, coordination, and problem-solving to keep delivery running smoothly. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience working with subcontractors in construction, maintenance, or social housing Strong understanding of voids and/or planned works environments Comfortable working independently with clear accountability Highly organised with strong attention to detail Confident using IT systems to manage records, compliance, and reporting Strong communication skills and the ability to build practical working relationships Proactive, solutions-focused, and delivery-driven approach Experience in social housing repairs or maintenance environments is advantageous.
