Key Responsibilities Owns and drives business winning activity including opportunity qualification, and execution of campaigns and captures to meet Company order intake, sales, and profit objectives. Ensure key customer and stakeholder relationships are effectively resourced and managed to achieve business objectives. Gather and collate market and customer intelligence within our business funnel tool and translate to structured BD activity reflected in capture plans. Provides strategic customer-focused input to the Senior Director BD and CTO and Director, Technical proposal Strategy ensuring technology and product development meets the market (customer) requirements. Working with the bid teams to contribute to the creation and presentation of capture and bid no bid recommendations and gates 1-3 review processes. Has input to the ESCO Maritime Solutions annual and multi-year strategic plans. Manages the annual trade show / symposiums plan for EM (UK). Inputs to and oversees company branding and image including generation and review of briefs, website, product literature, videos, publicity, press releases, and advertising. Major contributor to the marketing reports for ESCO Maritime forecasting and Sales Funnel review on a monthly basis. Inputs and manages data within CRM. Marketing and Sales support to other business functions within ESCO Maritime as required. Stands in for the Senior Director Business Development when required. Qualifications And Skills Required Skills : Degree qualified - Engineering or Technical Degree (distinct advantage) or equivalent competency and experience. Comprehensive experience within the Defence Industry. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally - up to 50% of working time. Desired Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics. Knowledge of relevant customer base including NCHQ and DE&S / SDA / DNO. Ability to understand, communicate and market technology and product capability / offerings. Track record of managing successful technical bids through to order placement. Excellent technical report/proposal writing. Willing to travel frequently and at short notice within the UK and overseas when required. Willing to work out of normal business hours and GMT time zone. Proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns for complex systems to government, navy and prime contractors. Experience in the Signature Management and/or Naval Power Systems is a distinct advantage. Demonstrated ability to establish and develop effective relationships with partners and suppliers.
