We are looking for an experienced Mobile Supervisor to work on the London Underground contract. The role is 24/7, 365 days a year and requires leading, motivating and developing a security team to provide best‑in‑class service across London. The mobile supervisor will be the main point of contact for the LU Central Operations team, Mitie management and emergency services.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, UK law and regulatory requirements as directed by the Site Security Manager.
- Complete all tasks and duties defined within the Assignment Instructions.
- Train, test and maintain competence of site officers.
- Conduct patrols, site visits and perform site compliance audits.
- Support investigations and prepare reports.
- Escalate incidents or issues to the appropriate authorities.
- Conduct welfare, 121 & RTW meetings.
- Report health & safety hazards and potential risks.
- Maintain professional conduct with staff and customers.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Call emergency services and Fleet Security Control Centre when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full driving licence with a minimum of 12 months driving experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the security industry.
- SIA licence.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and report‑writing skills.
- Ability to learn and implement new systems and training.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol medical assessment.
- Competency to pass required certifications that allow track access (e.g., Sentinel, WSI, IWA, PWT).
- Possession of or ability to obtain IOSH certification.
- Requirement to renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Reliability, self‑motivation, initiative and the ability to work without supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer and software literacy.
- Decision‑making, problem‑solving and prioritisation skills.
- Diplomacy and tact in dealing with people at all levels.
- Strong attendance and time‑keeping record.
- Successful completion of a 3‑month probationary period and subsequent PWT course.
Working Hours and Pay
- 36 hours per week, including mandatory weekend work (24 hours across weekend shifts).
- One 12‑hour weekday shift (day or night) added to complete the weekly hours, based on operational needs.
- Hourly rate: £18.37 PH.
Transport for London (TfL) Requirements
- Pass medical assessment and drug and alcohol test.
- Obtain TfL Track Certification, including Sentinel WSI, DTA and IWA.
