Financial Administrator – The Priory Care Home, Shirley
Location: The Priory Care Home, Shirley, B90 4XA
Salary: £28,281 – £35,482 per year (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, Full time
Welcome bonus: £1,000*
Responsibilities
* Use bespoke software to raise invoices, process income including cash allocation, complete banking transactions and manage debt actions.
* Liaise with Local and Health Authorities to ensure appropriate information and payment is received.
* Ensure correct and complete documentation, including Terms and Conditions, for all admissions.
* Safeguard monies on behalf of residents and facilities, recording and reconciling transactions with bank statements.
* Administer purchasing and supplier payments, manage petty cash transactions and replenishment.
* Process employee related information and payroll to guarantee accurate and timely staff payments.
* Provide clerical support to the Home Manager (letter writing, memos, local management reporting).
* Maintain an orderly filing system, stationery replenishment and personnel file management.
Qualifications
* Prior experience as a Financial Administrator with a proven track record of excellent customer service.
* Friendly and approachable manner, both face to face and over the phone.
* Organised, detail‑oriented and able to build strong relationships with residents, families and internal/external teams.
* Dedicated, efficient and able to handle a varied workload.
* Caring attitude that underpins all work.
