We are looking for several Early Help Workers to join our service, following a current shortfall in staffing within the Bootle area.
These posts are essential to strengthening our Early Help offer and ensuring children, young people, and families receive timely, high-quality support at the earliest opportunity.
As part of the locality team, you will deliver targeted interventions, complete Early Help assessments, coordinate multi?agency plans, and work directly with families to improve outcomes and reduce the need for statutory involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver practical and therapeutic support to children, young people, and families in line with agreed child-centred plans.
* Support families to reduce risks relating to neglect, routines, boundaries, home conditions, and parenting capacity.
* Facilitate and record supervised family contact sessions, ensuring children's safety and wellbeing at all times.
* Work in partnership with schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies to support safeguarding plans.
* Maintain clear, accurate, and evidence-based case recordings and reports to support social work decision-making.
* Contribute to assessments and provide practical support to families involved in court and legal proceedings.
Key Requirements:
* Experience working with children and families in Early Help, social care, education, youth work, or a related field
* Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage a caseload and work independently
* Understanding of safeguarding thresholds and statutory responsibilities
* Commitment to improving outcomes for children and families in Bootle and across the borough
Contract Length: 3 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £17.37 per hour
Working pattern - 37 hours per week.
