About the job you’re considering
The remit of the support team is to coordinate and deliver support activities across the Engineering user group for deployed Siemens NX design capabilities (Siemens NX CAD / Teamcenter PLM / Capital / Visualisation).
The Support, Sustain and Improvement Architect will be a subject matter expert in one or more Siemens design tools, providing "at-elbow" support to the end user base within a submarine programme, offering best practice guidance, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing knowledge effectively.
Hybrid working:
The work environment will vary between company offices, client sites, and remote work, with a requirement for 2-3 days onsite initially to build relationships.

Your role
* Provide expert consultation on Siemens NX in marine engineering and shipbuilding contexts.
* Support and transfer knowledge to users, advocating best practices both onsite and remotely.
* Manage end user issues, perform triage, and coordinate with relevant teams.
* Represent the voice of the user, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to training and documentation.
* Build trusted relationships within the user community and signpost resources.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to support resources and contribute to knowledge management activities.
Your skills and experience
* At least 3 years' experience with Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM, with knowledge of Capital and Visualisation.
* Willingness to learn and stay updated on toolset developments.
* Strong analytical skills and proactive engagement with users.
* Experience in engineering or manufacturing, preferably in aerospace & defence.
* Knowledge of NX Structure Designer or NX for Ship Building is a plus.
* Experience mentoring junior staff.
