A specialist SEN school in Barnet is currently recruiting a full-time Behaviour Mentor to support children and young people with Autism (ASD), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and additional learning needs.

The role will include:
• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage positively within school
• Managing challenging behaviour using calm and consistent strategies
• Building strong and trusting relationships with students
• Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom
• Encouraging communication, confidence, and social development
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
• Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
• A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young people
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and build positive relationships

Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.
