Leader Education are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEND school in Cramlington, Northumberland. This role involves supporting students aged 11–18 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Monitor and record student progress Encourage independence and confidence building The Ideal Candidate Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school or care setting) Patient, empathetic, and resilient nature Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to build positive relationships with students Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential) Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Work with Leader Education?
