Plant Supervisor
Location: Teeside
Salary: £31,000pa

We are seeking a confident and capable Plant Supervisor to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our concrete production site. This is a hands-on leadership role where safety, efficiency, and customer service are key.
Your Role
As Plant Supervisor, you will:
* Operate and oversee the batching plant using computer-based systems.
* Manage the dispatch of concrete and liaise with customers professionally.
* Supervise contractors and hauliers to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
* Conduct routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
* Maintain high standards of site presentation and cleanliness.
* Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available and compliant.
* Record and report any issues affecting safety, quality, or service.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure production meets customer requirements and company standards.
* Maintain plant equipment, buildings, and surrounding areas.
* Manage environmental controls including waste, water discharge, and dust emissions.
* Conduct weekly and monthly stock checks.
* Uphold safety protocols for all staff, contractors, and visitors.
* Respond to customer enquiries courteously and professionally.
* Operate the plant effectively during winter conditions, including drainage and shutdown procedures.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in plant operations or a similar supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of health & safety, environmental compliance, and quality control.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail.
