An award winning independent accountancy practice is seeking an Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager. This is a great opportunity for a qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) seeking to work in a flexible and professional environment.

Responsibilities
* Delivery of high quality audit and non-audit services, coordinating team members in delivery of same.
* Identify key audit risks based on the background knowledge, thorough research and preliminary results and discussions with the client.
* Review audit work of junior members of the team during fieldwork.
* Lead fieldwork teams on larger or higher risk audit clients.
* Accounts preparation to final sign off using cloud based accountancy software.
* Being the first point of contact for the client whilst on-site and ensure any remaining queries are dealt with promptly.
* Discuss/agree any potential audit journals with the client during fieldwork.
* Responsible for clearing review points and addressing any follow up queries with clients.
* Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102).
* Managing administration of client, including budgets, WIP and timely billing.
* Maintaining the highest technical and professional standards.
* Thinking strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.
* Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
* Delivering results and managing client expectations.
* Career progression through continuous professional development.
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including Sage, Xero and CCH products.
* Excellent communication skills, advanced IT skills and excellent project management abilities are essential.
