You will be responsible for planning and designing technical solutions to develop a smarter, more flexible network aligned with the region’s journey to net zero.
We offer a competitive salary between £53,711 - £73,451, along with benefits such as shift allowance (up to 27%).
Grade: Technical, Level B, pp 13-21

Key Responsibilities
* Manage planned and fault operations on the Northeast and Yorkshire HV and EHV network.
* Pursue safety and customer service excellence.
* Work as part of a team of technical engineers on a shift rota, making decisions in demanding situations.
* Communicate effectively with field staff, customer services, and external stakeholders in planned and reactive situations.
* Produce and communicate clear reports to management, other business units, and stakeholders.
* Develop and implement new solutions collaboratively within a high-performing team.
* Make confident decisions and manage system risks and escalations.
* Maintain excellent technical knowledge of the HV and EHV network and safety rules.
* Problem-solve effectively amidst change and innovation.
* Deliver quality outputs within deadlines.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business and industry.
Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in network operations and planning processes.
* Understanding of Distribution Safety Rules and Operational Practice Manual.
* HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent.
* Knowledge of LV, HV, and EHV networks and protection systems.
