Position Overview
Apply for the Supervising Social Worker role at Compass Community.
Located in Syston, you will manage cases across Coventry and work in a hybrid setting with office and home base and visits to foster carers.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure a reflective and creative approach when working with foster carers and young people to support their growth.
* Manage an average caseload of 13–15 fostering families, providing guidance and support.
* Participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call service to offer wrap‑around support to carers.
* Contribute actively to the development of the fostering service and organisational improvement.
* Make objective professional assessments of children and young people.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant professional qualification in Social Work.
* Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
* Experience in a fostering‑related social work role or child social care (e.g., look‑after children’s team).
* Demonstrated ability to identify the needs of young people.
* Good knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law and safeguarding issues.
* Valid driving licence and access to a car.
* Accurate reference and DBS check successful completion.
