As we look forward to the busy year ahead, we are currently looking for an engaging, hardworking and reliable individual to join the Glengoyne family, as a Housekeeper within our small but perfectly formed Housekeeping team.

Who We Are Looking For…

As Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring Glengoyne is maintained to the highest standards, providing our visitors with an all-round world class experience! If you are passionate about cleanliness, presentation and maintaining high standards then this could be the role for you…

We’re looking for someone who isefficient, canuse their own initiative, has apositive work attitudeand displays strong attention to detail. In addition, a warmand friendly personality will fit in well amongst the team.

The day to day activities will include full cleaning of the visitor centre and staff areas which will ensure the Distillery is in perfect condition ready for the arrival of our visitors.

Glengoyne is located North of Glasgow on the A81 at Dumgoyne, and as a result of the remote location and required working hours, we are looking for candidates who live within a commutable distance to the Distillery and ideally have their own mode of transport. Due to the working hours and the industry we operate in, candidates must be 18 years’ old or over. In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they currently have the required documents to live and work in the UK.

What We Will Provide You…

This is apart-time, permanent job opportunity with an hourly rate of £12.60. In addition, we offer a generous benefits package. Our Housekeeping roles are offered on an annualised hours contract meaning you will receive a guaranteed monthly income.

For this particular opportunity, we are looking for kindred spirits to join us on either a 24 hour per week schedule across 4 days (Wednesday to Saturday, 6.30am to 12.30pm),or an 18 hour per week schedule across three days (Thursday to Saturday, 6.30am to 12.30pm). Flexibility around the days worked and number of hours may be open for discussion however Saturday is a fixed working day. Candidates must be able to commit to their agreed schedule.

ROLE SUMMARY

Our Brand Home team are the public face of Glengoyne and Ian Macleod Distillers (IMD), bringing our world class processes and spirits to life, communicating the essence of the brand in a way that fundamentally delights consumers, inspiring long-term brand devotion.

As Housekeeper, your role is to ensure the brand home is always presented to the highest standard and is a positive reflection of the brand. You will help to enhance the visitor experience by ensuring a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness, thereby helping visitors to feel safe, comfortable and at ease in our home.


ROLE DESCRIPTION


Responsibilities


Key Day to Day Activities

Operations

* Follow a daily cleaning & housekeeping task list, ensuring all customer facing and staff areas are presented perfectly ahead of opening. This includes reception, retail space, tasting rooms, offices, toilets etc.
* Record your work to ensure consistency across the site.
* Monitor usage of consumables to ensure tasks can be fulfilled to the proper standard.
* Comply with IMD Policies and administration requirements including Financial, HR, IT, Health and Safety and Data Protection requirements.
* Monitor waste disposal, reporting any misuse of waste bins to management.
* Be a keyholder, unlocking and accessing the site out with normal trading hours.
* Greet all visitors with a warm welcome, creating a great first impression.

Internal Engagement

* Maintain good communication with the site duty manager, visits, retail and production teams.
* Conduct oneself in a manner which portrays the high standards of quality and professionalism associated with IMD.
* Provide support to other IMD departments and IMD events on occasion and as required.
* Experience delivering exceptional housekeeping service.
