Inspire the Next Generation of Electricians – Join Our Growing Engineering Department

We're excited to launch brand-new Electrical Installation programme at Level 2 and Level 3 – and we're looking for a passionate, skilled, and motivated Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our team and help shape the future of electrical training in our region.

Key Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a strategic initiative designed to meet the growing demand for skilled electricians in our local community. You'll play a vital role in delivering practical, industry-relevant training that prepares learners for rewarding careers.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (City & Guilds or equivalent)

Industry experience in electrical installation (essential) — ideally with up-to-date knowledge of the current regulations (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, NVQ Level 3).

A recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above – or a willingness to work towards one.

Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding

Please note that, due to the specialised technical and industry skills required for this role, we may be able to offer a competitive salary aligned with industry standards. This could be outside the unqualified pay banding (which ranges from £25,611 to £28,817) and would be subject to our support in helping you achieve a teaching qualification. Our recognised teaching qualifications include one of following:

DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)

Certificate in Education

PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)

DET (Diploma in Education and Training)

DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
