Robert Half is currently working on behalf of a valued client to recruit a skilled Bank Reconciliation Clerk for a temporary assignment. This is a key support role focused on clearing a significant backlog of unreconciled bank transactions. The successful candidate will join the finance team on-site and help bring accounts up to date efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily and historical bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
* Investigate and resolve aged discrepancies between bank statements and internal records
* Liaise with internal departments to source missing information and resolve open items
* Ensure that all reconciliations are completed in a timely, accurate, and auditable manner
* Maintain detailed records of reconciliation activities and support documentation
* Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and recommend improvements where appropriate
* Support audit requests and internal financial reviews as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Prior experience in a dedicated bank reconciliation or similar accounting role
* Demonstrated ability to clear backlog or high-volume transactions
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
