Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins! As a Senior Operations Manager, you will predominantly lead the operation to ensure the operational performance meets all internal business targets and clients’ expectations.
This is a full time, permanent position predominately working Tuesday to Saturday, 09:00 till 17:00. With this being a 24/7 operation, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £65,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Establish a positive working relationship with all functions. Ensure that the customer’s needs are fully understood and translated into effective operational plans
* Deliver end to end service within the outbound function
* Overall accountability for operational performance against KPI’s
* Responsible for setting, managing budgets for area of responsibility.
* Identify areas of improvement within the Outbound processes and manage operational constraints
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous experience within a senior leadership role within a fast paced
* Outbound logistics environment
* The ability to lead, develop and mentor a large, diverse operational team, recognising talent and inspiring them to success
* Be customer focused, operationally astute and experienced in achieving stretching objectives and operating to high standards
