Applications & Systems Engineer (M/F/D)
Role Overview
This position combines customer-facing application engineering with systems engineering expertise to define system architecture, manage requirements, ensure robust integration, verification, and acceptance of complex subsea control solutions. It supports technical compliance, commercial competitiveness, and project execution from concept to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead tender studies, develop technical proposals, and support commercial teams with compliant, competitive subsea control system offerings.
- Review client specifications, prepare technical documentation (risk registers, compliance documents), and support customer negotiations.
- Define system architecture, requirements, and interfaces using Systems Engineering principles throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Maintain system models, generate requirement specifications, and produce design review and functional design materials.
- Assess new technologies and ensure alignment with system design intent and project constraints.
- Define Verification & Validation strategies and produce supporting design verification evidence.
- Manage technical changes through a controlled change management and impact assessment process.
- Support system integration, testing, acceptance, and ensure compliance with industry standards and subsea control system best practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with subsea control systems and Systems Engineering practices (ISO‑15288 or equivalent).
- Proven technical involvement across full lifecycle engineering projects, including requirements, design, and verification.
- Experience in tendering, technical proposal development, or engineering project management.
- Knowledge of control system technologies, communication architectures, and subsea design considerations.
- Ability to engage confidently with customers and support technical discussions and negotiations.
- Strong prioritization, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Permanent work permit in the UK.
