The post involves teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering both English Language and English Literature programmes, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and raising aspirations. Person Specification We are looking for someone who: Is a qualified English teacher and holds QTS (or equivalent) Has recent experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4) Demonstrates a strong understanding of how to teach English Language and Literature, including preparing students for GCSE outcomes Is able to motivate and engage students, and maintain high standards of behaviour and work ethic Shares the school's values of respect, belief and giving your best, and supports the "growth mindset" culture Has strong organisational skills, the ability to plan sequenced lessons, assess student progress and intervene where necessary Is adaptable, proactive and able to integrate quickly into a new department, contributing positively to the team and the school ethos Why Apply?
