A specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Scunthorpe is looking for a dedicated individual to join their committed team from September 2025. This is a full-time position for the upcoming academic year.
At this school, you'll be instrumental in supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with diverse learning needs, guiding them through their mathematical journey. Our focus is on creative, high-quality teaching and learning that effectively caters to the specific needs of SEMH pupils, providing them with a nurturing and stable environment to develop essential numerical and problem-solving skills.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who:
Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils, adaptable to varying learning styles and needs.
Has experience of or a strong interest in teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils, ideally within an SEMH or SEND setting.
Is committed to inclusive education and celebrates diversity, with a strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies.
Works exceptionally well as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Brings creativity, energy, and resilience to their practice, along with a patient and understanding approach.
What We're Looking For (Essentials)
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR a recognised teaching qualification.
An Enhanced Child Only DBS and/or Overseas Police checks.
A comprehensive CV covering your employment and education history since you finished formal education, with any employment breaks clearly explained.
Legal Right to work in the UK.
Salary & Benefits
You'll be paid in line with the national teacher's pay scale (M1-M6 equivalent, with the specific daily rate dependent on your experience).
