Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Emergency Practitioners from nursing, paramedic or physiotherapy backgrounds to work autonomously in our new co‑located Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) with the Emergency Department at St George’s Hospital and the Enhanced Primary Care Hub (EPCH) at Queen Mary’s Hospital. The UTC supports an emergency department that sees over 150,000 patients annually.
Responsibilities & Working Conditions
* Assess, diagnose and treat adults and children presenting with minor injuries and minor illness in the UTC and EPCH.
* Work unsocial hours including weekends and twilight shifts, and be available across both UTC, streaming and EPCH as required.
* Provide an appointment‑based service for patients with minor injuries and illness at the EPCH in Roehampton.
* Collaborate with GP and Emergency Medicine colleagues to deliver high quality care.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Emergency Practitioner with a current diploma or degree in nursing, paramedicine or physiotherapy.
* Experience managing patients with minor injuries and illnesses.
* Willingness to take on new challenges within a dynamic department.
