Contract Manager Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Contract Manager to oversee multiple school cleaning contracts across Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service excellence, maintaining client relationships, and driving continuous improvement in all areas of contract delivery.
Contract Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operations across multiple school sites in Cornwall.
* Ensure all cleaning services meet contract specifications and industry standards.
* Conduct monthly audits and provide detailed performance reports to both senior management and clients.
* Lead monthly KPI reviews with clients, identifying and implementing service improvements.
* Develop and present performance improvement plans where required.
* Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and site visits.
* Supervise, support, and motivate on-site teams to maintain high standards.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, safeguarding policies, and industry regulations.
* Manage budgets and financial performance, including forecasting and cost control.
* Assist with recruitment, training, and staff development across all sites.
* Coordinate the mobilisation of new contracts and manage transitions smoothly, including adherence to TUPE regulations where applicable.
Contract Manager Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience managing cleaning contracts within the education sector.
* Strong knowledge of TUPE, health & safety, and industry compliance.
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., BICSc, IOSH, or similar) are essential.
* Proven ability to multi-task, prioritise workload, and manage multiple sites effectively.
* Strong communication and reporting skills, with experience presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as needed.
* Must reside in or near Falmouth, St Austell, or Newquay.
