Project Engineer
Location: Skelmersdale
Contract: Fixed 12 months
Schedule: Monday - Friday
We are excited to announce that we are looking for two Project Engineers to join our team at the Skelmersdale site within Müller Milk & Ingredients. This role involves some travel, so a UK driving license is essential.
As a Project Engineer, your mission will be to deliver best-in-class engineering projects that align with our business vision and OGSM strategic plan. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives across all areas.
* Understand Total Cost of Ownership to deliver effective solutions.
* Closely control project budgets, ensuring forecast spending is transparent from concept to closure.
* Coach and mentor site leadership teams in managing minor capital projects.
* Adhere to Müller’s project management and investment processes for technical investments.
* Ensure all project completion and handover documentation is submitted to relevant site teams.
* Support the wider project team in achieving the OGSM goals of the business.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven Project Engineering experience, ideally in an FMCG environment.
* HNC/HND in a relevant subject is essential.
* Project Management background or qualification.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
* Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
* Ability to engage effectively across all levels of the business.
* Full UK Driving License is required.
