Schoolacre Surgery is seeking a GP receptionist to join our friendly team, initially on a bank basis with potential to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate should be well-presented and possess good IT skills. Previous experience in a GP practice is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can handle multiple tasks with compassion and flexibility. The role involves working on a shift basis during our normal hours of 8am to 6.30pm, with the possibility of covering additional shifts outside the regular pattern to assist with holiday cover.

Job responsibilities
Reception duties include, but are not limited to:
* Booking telephone appointments via inbound calls
* Communicating with patients regarding their care needs, managing appointments, and health campaigns, prioritizing tasks as directed by management
* Updating patient records accurately and documenting actions thoroughly
* Adjusting processes to meet the diverse needs of our patient population
* Recognising and flagging safeguarding concerns, with full training provided
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English
* Previous training in patient/customer service
* Experience working directly with the public in a busy environment
* Experience handling high call volumes
* Teamwork experience
