Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join NHS Golden Jubilee as Deputy Director of Heart, Lung and Diagnostics. This is for Fixed-term or Secondment until October 2026. NHS Golden Jubilee incorporates the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, Research Institute, Conference Hotel and Innovation Centre. It is Scotland’s flagship health facility, specialising in cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and ophthalmic surgery as well as interventional and diagnostic cardiology. It is also the Scottish centre for heart transplantation and for patients with congenital cardiac and pulmonary vascular issues. A major diagnostic imaging centre, the hospital also has one of the largest concentrations of intensive care beds in the UK.

Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and delivery of the Board’s National, Regional and Local service strategies to benefit the whole of NHSS, with specific responsibility for ensuring the supportive and responsive day-to-day and strategic operational management of the Heart, Lung and Diagnostic Services Division.
* Help deliver a full range of performance targets.
* Model the organisation’s values and develop positive relationships through collaborative, collegiate working and sound decision making.
* Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care for patients.
* Contribute to strategic leadership and shaping the division’s agenda at Board level.

About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day and strategic operational management of the Heart, Lung and Diagnostic Services Division and will play a key role in ensuring delivery of performance targets within the National, Regional and Local service strategies.
