Junior Accounts Assistant Location: Macclesfield Full Time (37.5 Hours p/w) About Us We are a specialist law firm with over 60 years of experience in Personal Injury, Employers’ Liability/Public Liability, Road Traffic Accidents, and Clinical Negligence cases. The Role We are seeking a motivated Junior Accounts Assistant to join our busy accounts team. The successful candidate will support our experienced legal cashiers in managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in legal finance. Key Responsibilities · Processing and posting client account transactions, including receipts, payments, bills and transfers. · Completing daily account reconciliations. · Assisting with ensuring strict compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules. · Preparing, processing, and posting bills in line with case progression. · Managing transfers between client and office accounts. · Handling monies in and out of client accounts promptly and accurately. · Supporting the wider accounts team with office account transactions as required · Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within Proclaim case management system. · Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes and reporting as required · Liaising with fee earners and support staff to resolve any accounts-related queries efficiently. The Successful Candidate will have: · Relevant experience in Accounting/Legal Accounting (1 year minimum) · A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new processes · Experience processing invoices, bills and financial transactions using financial software. · Experience setting up BACS, CHAPS and Faster Payments through online banking. · Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills. · Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments. · The ability to proactively manage workload independently and as part of a team. · Working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules (Preferred) · Proficiency in Proclaim case management system.
