235457 (EGPP) Specialist Occupational Therapist – NHS Lothian
Join NHS Lothian as a Specialist Occupational Therapist. This part‑time position is built for a highly motivated individual to contribute to a complex, multidisciplinary team in a rotational schedule across a 7‑day week.
Key Responsibilities
* Act independently to provide a full, comprehensive specialist service including assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral and discharge for a complex range of patients referred to the service.
* Supervise occupational therapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers and occupational therapy students.
* Develop and deliver training programmes for a wide range of professionals and carers, educating them on the therapy process and interventions related to the management of patients’ medical and social needs.
Eligibility & Legal Requirements
* Must hold a valid National Health Service (NHS) role or have the necessary permission to work in the United Kingdom.
* Must have a PVG Scheme membership/record for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult). Non‑members must apply to Disclosure Scotland and satisfy the required checks before employment.
Working Hours & Compensation
* Part‑time – 75% of full‑time hours, with a pro‑rata salary.
* Rotational schedule covering 7 days.
