Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices and compliance protocols.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
* Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and standards, ensuring adherence across all levels of the organization.
* Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and health awareness within the workplace.
* Provide expert advice on health and safety matters, including regulatory developments and best practices.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role in a relevant industry.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and guidelines.
* Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and support staff across diverse departments.
