Overview
Our agile development team is responsible for building internal and client-facing applications, including research, data, analytics, and interactive investment tools. We deliver these through web interfaces and function libraries. We focus on impact, continuous improvement, and learning, with dedicated Learning & Development days each sprint and access to a learning platform.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of scalable, robust, and secure software solutions as a Software Architect.
* Shape the technical direction of products by balancing architectural patterns with pragmatic solution design and guiding engineering teams through implementation.
* Maintain a hands-on coding involvement as appropriate.
* Stay up to date on relevant technologies and inform Development and Product teams about emerging changes and benefits.
* Collaborate with architectural guild members to establish viability of design decisions through discussions and POCs.
* Focus on security from the design stage and ensure best practices to keep solutions secure.
* Investigate and assess new tooling and approaches for team adoption.
* Create and maintain architectural documentation to facilitate understanding and reuse.
* Represent Redington in ongoing integration discussions within the Gallagher organization as appropriate.
About You
* Experience designing, implementing and enhancing native cloud solutions.
* Experience with Microservices, Event Sourcing and CQRS.
* Highly proficient in C# .NET.
* Strong experience with an RDBMS and SQL (PostgreSQL or SQL Server preferred).
* Strong experience with AWS (Lambdas, RDS, Cognito).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; professional attitude (self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and in a team).
* Experience with MS Azure.
* Typescript/JavaScript and related web technologies with knowledge of React (preferred) or Angular.
* Experience with a NoSQL database (MongoDB preferred).
* Platform tools such as Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Kubernetes/Docker.
