About the Role
This senior technical leadership role reports to the Head of Strategy, Architecture & Product. You'll lead a small team of Solution Architects, guide engineering activity across Agile delivery teams, and chair the organisation's Digital Design Authority.
You’ll define and maintain enterprise-level architecture across a diverse portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals while supporting the adoption of cloud, data and automation technologies. The role also includes assuring supplier-led designs and deputising at senior governance boards.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading a team of Solution Architects and assuring technical delivery
* Owning and evolving the strategic architecture framework and roadmap
* Chairing the Digital Design Authority (DDA)
* Working closely with Product Owners, Business Partners, delivery teams and suppliers
* Driving scalable, secure and high-performing solutions
* Providing assurance on third-party designs and supplier activity
* Supporting governance, cyber resilience, data architecture and cloud optimisation
* Championing a modern, product-based IT and digital model
* Promoting continuous improvement and architectural maturity
You’ll Bring
* Extensive solution architecture experience with strong technical assurance skills
* Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure), Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform and integration standards
* Experience in architectural governance and technical design forums
* Excellent communication and senior stakeholder engagement
* Understanding of TOGAF, ITIL and security‑by‑design principles
* A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring and capability building
