As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support with the development, implementation and management of all commercial activities and controls, taking ownership for the implementation of the group commercial strategy for the business unit you are assigned to. Ultimately, helping to maximise the profitability of the business unit whilst ensuring the Ipsum values are upheld. This is a full-time role based from our office in Chorley with regular travel to other Ipsum sites and offices. As a Quantity Surveyor you will… Tracking of contract performance to budget and forecasts, as well as formal reviews to support the financial accounts. Manage adherence to the procurement strategy and processes at the relevant business unit. Manage contract/project performance including CVR reviews. Review contracts and support with mitigating risk. Report on and challenge performance for project cashflows and profitability. Preparation and review of subcontract documents and assessment of quotations for onboarding. Manage and track project changes, variations and/or notices, including issuance of early warnings and extension of time requests Support the Commercial Manager with ad hoc projects and continuous improvement of business processes About you… This opportunity is perfect for someone who has commercial experience within a similar or transferable sector. You will need to be self-motivated with an eye for detail. NEC 3 or 4 knowledge is beneficial. Finally, you will need a full UK drivers’ licence and fantastic communication skills.
