Sudbury House Hotel – Faringdon

Sudbury House Hotel is a well-established country house hotel in Faringdon, hosting weddings, conferences, and private events. We are looking for an organised and friendly Events Administrator & Hotel Receptionist to join our team.
This is a varied, fast-paced role working between the Reception desk and the Events Office, combining front-of-house guest service with events administration. The successful candidate will be confident multitasking and managing competing priorities in a busy hotel environment. Previous experience in a hotel reception, hospitality, or administrative role is preferred, with hotel Food & Beverage experience highly desirable, as it provides a strong understanding of hotel operations and event delivery
Key Responsibilities
· Welcoming guests and delivering excellent customer service
· Managing check-ins, check-outs, reservations, calls, and emails
· Taking payments and handling guest billing queries
· Providing administrative support to the Events team
· Responding to event enquiries and preparing event documentation
· Updating booking systems and maintaining accurate records
· Supporting the delivery and running of events as required

· Confident using computer systems
· Professional, friendly, and well-presented
· Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
· Flexible to work weekends and varied shifts
