At Kids Planet, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re passionate about creating safe, nurturing environments for children — and for the teams that care for them. Join a business that values your growth, empowers your voice, and recognises your impact.
What We Do
Kids Planet is a fast-growing Early years provider committed to delivering exceptional early years education and care. With over 230 nurseries across the UK and growing, we champion high-quality standards and a values-led culture, built on collaboration, well-being, and exceptional early years education.
About the Role
We’re looking for a People Partner to join our team and work closely with regional senior leaders and nursery managers in the Midlands and the South, driving our People Plan and embedding People practices across a multi-site environment.
You’ll play a key role in supporting both the strategic and operational needs of your region — from coaching managers to driving engagement and wellbeing initiatives — all while ensuring our values and culture are deeply embedded and our standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Partnering: Collaborate with regional Senior Leaders and Nursery Managers to identify people-related challenges and implement actionable solutions aligned with business goals.
* Maintaining Standards: Ensuring full compliance with OFSTED requirements and EYFS standards to support high-quality early years provision
* Delivering the People Plan: Execute the regional People Plan, ensuring initiatives are implemented, embedded, and delivering tangible results.
* Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to company-wide people projects and change initiatives including acquisitions, TUPE, and harmonisation activity.
* Data & KPIs: Monitor People Team metrics and regional KPIs, identify trends, and develop interventions to drive continuous improvement.
* Operational HR: Partner with Recruitment to meet resourcing needs, manage escalated ER cases, and support People Advisors in complex cases.
* Engagement & Wellbeing: Champion regional engagement initiatives, support wellbeing programs in collaboration with our Wellbeing Manager, and champion our values-led culture.
* Capability Building: Develop and deliver people management training and upskill managers in best-practice processes.
* Collaboration: Work alongside other People Partners to ensure consistency, share learning, and address common challenges across the group.
About You
* Experienced HR Business Partner with a background in multi-site environments.
* Commercially savvy with a solid understanding of how people strategy drives business performance.
* Strong coach and influencer with the ability to build relationships and challenge constructively.
* Confident in managing complex employee relations cases and guiding others through them.
* Proactive, data-driven, and highly organised — able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
* Experienced in leading HR projects with demonstrable business impact.
* Experience in the childcare or education sector is preferred, or a similar-sized workforce (7,000+ employees).
* TUPE and acquisition integration experience is a plus.
* CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
What You’ll Gain
* The opportunity to lead and influence people strategy across a growing, values-led organisation.
* A platform for continued professional development in a business that prioritises career progression.
* The chance to make a real difference to engagement, wellbeing, and culture across Kids Planet.
* A flexible and supportive working environment where your voice matters.
