Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to nurturing and developing young children in a safe and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.

The post is for 5 full days a week between the hours of 7.45am-5.45pm. We are looking for someone creative and ready to work as part of a lively and friendly team.

This post will be based working alongside an enthusiastic team and our lovely little bears.

Duties

* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and encourage parental involvement.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual learning needs.
* Manage daily routines within the nursery setting, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
* Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create a welcoming environment that supports children's learning experiences.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all children in your care.

Requirements

* A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and parents.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development through play-based learning.
