We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
* Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure nutritional needs are met.
* Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
* Support clients with activities of daily living, including light housekeeping tasks.
* Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervising staff.
* Implement health and safety procedures diligently, including first aid when necessary.
* Assist with specialised care such as hospice or palliative support for terminally ill patients.
Experience
* Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred.
* Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and hospice care is advantageous.
* Proven caregiving experience with elderly or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
* Certification in first aid or medication administration is a plus.
* Experience with behaviour management techniques for clients with cognitive impairments is beneficial.
* Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely are preferred but not essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and organisational abilities. A commitment to providing high-quality care and maintaining client dignity is essential for success in this role.
