Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy may arise for a Flt Lt (Any Profession) to serve as HQ No 3 FTS SO3 COORDINATION at RAF Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 07 September 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status and formal establishment). ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SO3 Coordination (SO3 Coord) is responsible for the following: Delivery of Establishment Administrator duties, responsible for optimising organisation and workforce planning in consultation with HQ DFT and 3 FTS Flying Sqns. Deputy custodian of 3 FTS Flying Orders, responsible for liaising with HQ DFT (SO2 Air Safety Assurance and Regulation), DDH, 3 FTS SO, 3 FTS AST and 3 FTS Flying Sqns to ensure flying orders are current, fit for purpose and meet the requirements of the MAA RAs. Stn Flying Order Book deputy sponsor for 3 FTS, responsible for liaising with RAF Cranwell Ops Wing and optimising lines of communication between 3 FTS and the Aerodrome Operator. PARMIS Deputy Risk Manager ensuring that Safety and Operating risks are captured accurately and effectively in order to support routine command boards and the 22 Gp functional safety battle rythym. Developing and maintaining a 3 FTS Communication Strategy and Plan that is fit for purpose, efficient and complements the delivery of an efficient and effective military HQ through the maintenance of the 3 FTS HQ Orders documentation. Act as administrative lead for Loan Service and Exchange Officers and ensuring entitlements (financial, administrative and support) IAW MOUs are met. Support 3 FTS COS in in executing a robust HQ Battle Rhythm, complementing, and supporting outputs of the Training Provider (TP) and Flying Sqns. Support Comdt 3 FTS and 3 FTS COS in the delivery of routine HQ staff officer duties. This includes but is not limited to comd and leadership support, delivery of D&G, reporting, support tasks and any contingency and planning outputs as required. BPT support the SO and Air Safety Team in the delivery of Occurrence Investigations. BPT support First Party Assurance (1PA) activity, pan 3 FTS in conjunction with 3 FTS COS and 3 FTS HQ, SO3 Trg. BPT hold readiness as Post Crash Management Incident Officer (PCMIO) on behalf of 3 FTS and RAF Cranwell. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Military Aviation Ground School (MAGS) Course Commander. In conjunction with SO3 Trg and 3 FTS WO, SO3 Coord is to: Ensure the MAGS course Joining Instructions remain up to date and are sent to each course on receipt of the Course Composition Notice (CCN) from 22 Gp DFT Plans SO3. Schedule and facilitate a Day 1 authority welcome brief, two course commander periods, one Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Day and a Post-Course Discussion (INVAL) for each MAGS course, providing verbal and written feedback to relevant agencies where appropriate. Provide management, military direction, guidance and welfare support for all MAGS trainees. Liaise with Ascent trg staff and military dependency agencies to address any MAGS related issues as they arise. Provide management, military direction, guidance and welfare support for all trainees whilst in any holding position under the cmd of Comdt 3 FTS.
