Opportunity for a Head of Health, Safety and Environment working for a food manufacturer who supply’s innovative food products to UK retail.
As Head of HSE for a busy food manufacturing site you’ll report into the Operations Director.
This role will suit a HSE professional with leadership skills gained from either the food, FMCG, logistics, or distribution sectors.
Due to recent success and business growth, the newly created role of Head of Health, Safety and Environment offers of the opportunity to join a food manufacturer who supplies a great range of innovative products to top UK food retailers.
Working for this family business will provide you with day-to-day exposure to a knowledgeable and friendly team of foodies who manufacture healthy choices and lead the market on quality, service, and value. The Operations Director you will report to has previously worked in Health and Safety, so you will be well supported and understood at all levels throughout the business.
You’ll deliver strategies to ensure that Health, Safety and Environment objectives are achieved. As well as managing and delivering departmental budgets to forecast.
You’ll also provide professional leadership, support, and development to staff and complete annual development plans and objectives for all team members whilst ensuring that all HSE policies and procedures are up to date and in line with legal requirements.
To be considered for this role you’ll need,
1. Proven experience at HSE Manger level or above gained from either a large single site or multi-site in the food/ FMCG manufacturing, logistics, or distribution sectors
2. NEBOSH General certificate with aspirations to achieve or on course to achieve NEBOSH LEVEL 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health
3. Inspirational leadership skills to promote and deliver operational goals and objectives
4. A track record of being a team builder and partnering with a senior management team to implement improvements that result in improved HSE performance and results
