Ysgol Gymunedol penparc is recruiting a Teaching Assistant – Level 2 (Behaviour/Guidance/Support) to join our team from 2/2/ until 17/7/. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils both in and beyond the classroom.
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide tailored support for pupils, including those with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
2. Use specialist skills and experience to deliver outreach support and assist with Individual Education and Behaviour Plans.
3. Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
4. Support learning activities, monitor pupil progress, and provide feedback to teachers.
5. Help create a purposeful and supportive learning environment.
6. Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families, and contribute to wider school life including trips and activities.
We are looking for someone who:
7. Has experience working with or caring for children of relevant age.
8. Holds NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications/experience.
9. Has good literacy and numeracy skills and is confident using ICT to support learning.
10. Understands child development, learning strategies, and relevant policies.
11. Is flexible, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Has first aid training or is willing to undertake it.
