As a Practice Manager, you will oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality social work practice, including assessment, intervention, and risk management. You will provide leadership and motivation to ensure services are effective, values-based, and achieve positive outcomes for children and families. The role includes managing performance, quality, resources, and budgets, and supporting organisational decisions and initiatives. Practice Manager also leads and develops the team by promoting a positive learning culture. As a Practice Manager some of you will model professional knowledge, authority and an acknowledged depth of expertise, and will develop effective professional practice by providing and supporting regular reflective supervision. You will manage practice development and performance of the team including induction, appointment support, probation, appraisals, professional development, workforce planning, and effective implementation of personnel procedures, including absence and performance management. The people we are looking for in this vital position will: Have a recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with the professional regulatory body. Have specialist training (academic or in-house provision e.g. advanced Motivational Interviewing, Adult Attachment training etc). Be a Level 1 Practice Educator Professional, currently undertaking the course or evidence of a confirmed space to undertake course. Promote the use of evidence and theory to support practice in complex and changing circumstances. Model and help others to maintain professional and personal boundaries and skilled use of self.
