Job Description Undertake a range of duties associated with exercising the enforcement of parking and roads traffic regulations on behalf of the Council, including the issuing of Penalty Charge Notices, in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value. Requirements The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. Please note:- PVG members' records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. The Individual This is a permanent full time post based at Opera House, John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock. The hours is 37 hours per week working: Monday to Saturday (5 days over 6). Shift 1 - 7.50am to 3.50pm Mon - Fri, 08.30am to 3.30pm Sat, Shift 2 - 10.10am to 6.10pm Mon - Fri, 08.30am to 3.30pm Sat. The full time salary is £28,533 - £29,880, plus a 10% shift allowance.
